 The main purpose of this site is to help those who love books and travel to enjoy themselves. Our mission is to provide useful information to those in search of fun, interesting literary places to go (bookstores new & used, rare book libraries, author's houses and museums, etc.) and things (author readings, writers & film festivals, etc.) to do.

In aid of this we've compiled databases of as many different bookstores, literary locations, pastimes and events as we can find. We'll be adding to these over time, and at some point will, we hope, be able to claim comprehensive coverage of the entire world! This is no tiny task and won't be accomplished overnight or without help.

For this reason we invite visitors to the site to add reviews and new listings, read, and if interested contribute to our blog.

Also of note, we have recently started working with cities around the world, helping them to identify and promote their literary assets. If you'd like us to help turn your city into a literary destination, please contact your local tourism office and have them contact us here.
